John Amyot

Chief Operating Officer

John Amyot is BBB’s chief operating officer, reporting to CEO, Duncan Gillis.

 

John is responsible for BBB’s North American ICE-driven business consisting of the Rotating Electric, Undercar and OCI business units, the Independent Aftermarket Sales & Service teams, and the Strategic Operations team.

 

Since joining BBB, John has held roles with increasing responsibility. Most recently, John led the OCI business unit, which includes the operations, sales, and marketing for turbochargers, electronics, braking and rotating electric products for BBB’s OES, Commercial Vehicle, Collision, and Industrial segments.

 

He is a 25-year veteran of the automotive industry, and he has held several aftermarket and OEM leadership positions at both public and private companies.

 

Throughout his career, John has led numerous production, engineering, and product teams while creating and launching multiple product programs to meet the automotive industry’s ever-changing technology needs.

Prior to joining BBB, John led a global division at Delphi Technologies responsible for the global aftermarket for HVAC components. John also worked at Visteon Corporation where he was responsible for 27 different sustainably manufactured product groups, including complex electronics. Prior to Visteon, John worked on the leadership team at Ford Motor Company to create and launch a global sustainable manufacturing program for its various product lines.

 

John earned a bachelor’s degree in business from the University of Windsor and a master’s degree in business administration (MBA) from Wayne State University in Detroit, Michigan and has completed global leadership programs at IESE Business School in Barcelona and the China Europe International Business School (CEIBS).

 

John resides in LaSalle, Ontario. He is an avid sailboat racer, a children’s sailing instructor and a volunteer hockey coach.
